(Just watch out that you don't just eat all the prosciutto before you make the thing.)
The word recipe is even a stretch. It is so easy that it is really just a question of what to use and there are only 6 ingredients.

Italian bread sliced an inch thick
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
yellow or Vidalia onion sliced thinly into ringlets
2 gloves garlic sliced in half
1/2 lb prosciutto thinly sliced (more if you are making a lot)
Directions the way I do it
Throw your onion ringlets into a small skillet with the veggie oil heated on Medium-low. Let them cook slowly for about 20 minutes and then crank the heat up a touch to Medium so they can get a little crispy. Set aside.
Throw your bread on a cooking sheet and toss into your oven on Hi Broil (1 1/2 minutes each side). Allow to cool and scrape both sides with your garlic.
Plate your toasted bread and cover generously with the prosciutto followed by the onions. Drizzle with honey and serve.
